About PAGLN

The Penn State Abington Office of Global Programs is inviting students to join a diverse team of aspiring undergraduate student leaders to become members of Peer Action Global Learning Network (PAGLN).

The PAGLN program is a key component to providing a successful acclimation, global learning, and support for Abington students and community building meaningful connections and promoting access, diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice on campus.

The PAGLN program includes many personal and professional development opportunities to enhance leadership and communication skills, intercultural competency, and diversity IQ. The program provides networking opportunities and contributes to creating great memories and friendships while helping students to become impactful members of Penn State community.

Student leaders who qualify to participate in the program receive training to become - International Student Orientation Leaders, Peer Mentors for English 83 and 197, and Global Ambassadors

International Student Welcome Leader (ISWL)

International Student Orientation Leaders play a key role in providing a quality transitional experience for all incoming first-year students through the International Student Orientation (ISO) program. International Orientation Leaders assist welcoming new Penn State students as well as their parents and family members by introducing the campus and its resources and acting as a representative of The Pennsylvania State University.

Peer Mentor

Peer Mentors are integral part of providing a successful transition to college and meaningful engagement for new students enrolled in the first-semester English courses (ENGL83 and 197)

Global Ambassadors

Global Ambassadors serve as a connection to the campus community and provide support for education abroad along with event planning and marketing. They represent our office during various on campus and off campus events..
