Mission
The mission of the Penn State Abington Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is
to enhance the total student-athlete experience by promoting opportunity, protecting
student-athlete well-being and fostering a positive student-athlete image to the campus
and community. We will do this through the legislative process, community
involvement, and team building activities.

Membership Benefits
Membership shall consist of 2-4 representatives from each of the men’s and
women’s varsity athletic teams.
o Members will be chosen by the coach of each team.
• Each Member serves a one year term.
o Membership can be renewed each year.
ALL members should attend every meeting.
o One member’s attendance is mandatory.
o If a member misses three meetings they will be removed.
o The coach will be notified of the dismissal and asked to appoint another
member
Each member serves as a liaison between the committee and his or her individual
athletics team.
• There is no term limit to service on SAAC
• Each member is expected to:
o Represent the team’s views at committee meetings.
o Report to the team and the coach on all SAAC activities.
o Organize team members to help with special projects.
